Prip ("the App") respects your privacy and handles information in accordance with this policy. The App has no user accounts, and your trips are stored on your device.
The App may process trip details, itineraries, destinations, bookings, notes, and other information
entered by users, along with the questions you ask its AI assistant. All of it is stored on your
device.
If you allow location access, your location is used on your device to show your position on the map.
It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Information is used only for:
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it for any purpose other than providing the features described here or as required by law. The App contains no advertising and no analytics, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Two features send trip information off your device. Both are actions you choose to take.
Ask AI. When you send a question, that question and the itinerary of the trip you asked about — place names, addresses, dates, flights, accommodation, and the notes you have written on them — are sent to Google's Gemini API through a server we operate, which passes them through without storing them. Gemini may search the web to answer, so your question shapes the searches it runs. Because the App uses the paid tier of the Gemini API, Google does not use what you send to train its models; Google retains it for a limited period to check for abuse, under its own terms (https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms). The App shows you what will be sent before your first message, and your conversations are stored on your device, where they can be erased at any time in Settings.
